The Red Crane team participated in the event. We partook in the event on behalf of our clients, where our main goal was to strengthen relationships between suppliers and clients (check out our solutions) . Red Crane was fortunate enough to see the advancement of new technologies spearheaded by Chinese companies. This will not only shape the future of how we generate energy, but how it will influence every aspect of all our lives in the future.
Leading countries in planned solver PV manufacturing capacity in 2017 (in megawatts)
China expanded its solar capacity by a staggering 81 percent last year. China is also aiming to generate 20 percent of its power using renewable energy by 2030 – a feat made even more exciting given its previous track record of substantial carbon emissions. By 2014 the country accounted for as much as 70 percent of the world’s total installed solar thermal capacity – a trend that is keen to be continued by the new “renewable energy” giant [www.interestingengineering.com].
Leading countries in solar manufacturing capacity in 2017
2015 was a quite a year for China; not only has it beaten the record for highest capacity in a single country but also taken the lead. China knocked Germany off the top spot this year with an incredible total capacity of 43.5 gigawatts of energy [www.interestingengineering.com]. That’s enough energy to power almost 10 million plus average consumer homes for a year!
